Drudge Report Claim Backfires, Matt Drudge Linked to Barack Obama’s Campaign

Yesterday a bomb shell was dropped when Senator Barack Obama’s 2+ Yr old National Examiner photo was released by a website called the “Drudge Report” despite the fact the article was actually published on February 4th 2008 and simply re-released by the Drudge Report followed by the claim it was sent by the Clinton Camp, but gave no details on how the photo was received, nor who contacted him which immediately raised a red flag. As we recently seen in the New York Times article claiming Senator McCain had a affair with a lobbyist, the amount of distortion and political lies are ever growing, how ever the links to the Drudge Report owner, Matt Drudge, and the Barack Obama camp are extremely easy to find. In the next paragraph you will find a lot of evidence that link the Obama camp and the Drudge Report’s Matt Drudge.

Matt Drudge, a Jewish Liberal Democrat who’s parents both worked for the federal government have some ties to the Obama camp and a well known hatred towards the Clintons. For starters, Drudge’s mother was a former staff attorney for prominent Barack Obama supporter Ted Kennedy. As well all know Ted Kennedy is one of Obama’s top senator supporters. How ever the Drudge Reports attacks on the Clintons have been occurring for a decade now. Drudge, who can thank the Lewinsky scandal for his notoriety as a online journalist has been nearly forgotten. As the numerous false attacks launched by the Drudge Report over the years are starting to be uncovered. The Populace Place Networks staff has uncovered a plethora of attacks which have rapidly spread through out the internet as fact. We have posted several of these lies below.

“Drudge headline baselessly implicated Clinton in closure of Niagara Falls children’s psychiatric unit”

“Drudge promotes story about Clinton’s alleged failure to tip, but includes only campaign’s refutation — not restaurant’s”

“Drudge’s false headline on Clinton health care plan: “HEALTH INSURANCE PROOF REQUIRED FOR WORK”"

“Bill Clinton, Climate and the ‘Instanet’”

“Citing Drudge headline, MSNBC’s Brewer suggested Latinos would react negatively to Clinton campaign change”

(This is the attack on another Obama opponent, John Edwards)
“Drudge headline falsely asserted, “Edwards Slams Oprah”"

“Taking lead from Drudge, conservative echo chamber hypes Clinton photo”
http://mediamatters.org/items/200712190002?f=s_search

(We are aware these links are mainly from one website, how ever this is a website that searches the internet for buried news stories.

After seeing the amount of false news reports about the Clinton’s from the Drudge Report, it becomes very clear the Clinton campaign would hardly be contacting the Drudge Report to leak information about some thing that was already released, nor would it make much sense to contact some one who has openly made false accusations time and time again.

Looking at the current amount of articles on the website, you will see, the hatred towards the Clinton’s is most likely what lead to this accusation.
